Choose The Path Of Wisdom
Which books do you read often?
Worldly or spiritual books?
Sensational news or spiritual contents?
Worldly books take you away from finding God,
increase the degree of illusions in your everyday life.
But spiritual books facilitate your spiritual journey
back to God and enable you attain God-realization.
Do not be among the fluctuating ones
take one step forward and two steps backward.
They do so by being interested in religious life
and still living worldly life.
Eventually, they lose both heaven and earth.
But, those who remain in the spiritual path of life
gain both heaven and earth.
Be steadfast, and be earnest.
The Comparison
The explanations below hightlight the need for everybody to read spiritual books ofte:
- The importance of spiritual books cannot be over emphasised. Right from the foundation of the world, God made compulsory that records should be kept concerning His dealings with humanity. Unlike worldly books which are relevant to a specific period of time, place, career and person, spiritual books are timeless – always relevant to every generation. The reason is that spiritual books contain the spirit and power of God called the Holy Spirit.
- Writings about the world are limited to grossness, being only concerned with the physical and intellectual aspects of life. Such texts are of no spiritual benefit.
- That is why worldly books are prone to revision and updates. It is not so with spiritual books.
- Events of the world fade out with time. Therefore, what is of interest today may not be so interesting tomorrow. But spiritual books are always interesting and relevant, regardless of time and place, because of the Holy Spirit in them. The reason is that spiritual texts are associated with, inspired by and filled with the Absolute Truth, the nature of God. They are not timeless.
- Worldly books are written by people who claim to be experts or professionals but are not, because they exclude the most important science of all, Spiritual Science. On the other hand, spiritual books are written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. That means that human beings do not write spiritual books. Rather, they receive, record and publish knowledge as dictated by the Holy Spirit. For example, while the ordinary members of the church Psalms of David, those who are spiritually enlightened and experienced call them Psalms of the Holy Spirit.
- The Divine Consciousness, essence or power that is emitted by spiritual books has a spiritual cleansing and uplifting effect on the environment. It makes evil spirits uncomfortable and they flee away. The problem in the world is that there are so many worldly books, which attract more and more demons into the human society. And that is one of the reasons why crime is on the increase.
- A worldly author has to first study his career, then conduct research or seek the opinions of others before or while writing his books, which after sometimes may no longer found to be accurate. But, a person who is inspired by the Holy Spirit can write on topics he has never heard of and yet, the writings will prove true with the passage of time.
- When people write worldly books, a lot of time and energy is spent in study, survey, compilation and editing. But, in writing spiritual books, the flow of inspiration and knowledge come direct from God and a lot of time and energy is conserved.
- People read and understand worldly books by the experience they get through the five senses, mind and intellect. On a higher and better note, spiritual books are read and understood by using ordinary senses and extra-sensory perceptions. When you are narrating an event to a visioner, he may be so inspired in spirit that he is actually seeing the actual event that took place, and then he reminds you of those aspects of the event which you have excluded.
- Worldly books make the readers focus on the illusions of life, the manifest world. Also, it takes them away from the path of realising and experiencing their true nature, God Principle within, called the soul or God-in-seed form. The eventual result is that the readers have to spend many years or even lifetimes in chasing the illusions of the world like raising a family, career, etc. the readers make themselves bound to reincarnate, instead of progressing spiritually to attain heaven. In other words, out ignorance, people bind themselves to the cycle of birth and death.
- Worldly books depend much on the works of others and therefore needs references. True spiritual writers do not need references, because they get their knowledge and explanations from God, who is the Absolute Truth.
- One problem with writing worldly books, especially in writing scripts for films and videos, is that the evil spirits, demons, mermaids, ghosts, witches or black energies may possess the writer or actor. In that case, it is not the author who is writing but demon writing through him. Likewise, the actor thinks he is acting on the stage, whereas it is a demon living its own life by occupying the body of the actor. This is a fact that the general public are ignorant of. And all actors need to undergo deliverance from time to time. In writing spiritual books, the saints become filled with the Holy Spirit.
Does It Mean Then That We Should No Longer Write Worldly Books?
No, it does not mean that. In as much as worldly books are important, we should always bear in mind that spiritual books are more important. Therefore, everybody should engage in writing and reading spiritual books. At least, for the salvation of their souls. The problem is that mankind ignore spiritual books to their own deceit and detriment. That is why Spiritual Science is lacking in school curriculum and in the teachings of the churches. In fact, churches shave become the prison yard that hold people captive and prevent them from seeking the Truth and finding God.
You cannot find the Truth by following man-man doctrines and routines. You find the Truth by seeking it with an open mind, based on the freedom of thought or independent thinking.
Spiritual books are the guide beacons that lead the earnest seekers of Truth in the right path towards finding God and becoming on with Him.
If we spent so many years studying an aspect of the created universe, like science, art, philosophy or engineering, it is only worthwhile that we spend more time to study about the very essence of Life, God.
Very Important Factors
In reading spiritual books, there are factors you should take into consideration:
- Read spiritual books written by the true saints of God. Reading books written by fake saints would delay your spiritual growth and may even lead you astray from God.
- You cannot find the Truth be limiting yourself to one religion. Any reverend minister teaching you to do so is only deceiving you and is thereby hindering your spiritual progress. Usually, people do not know this fact, and many come to realize it after so many wasted years. That was why Jesus warned the world to beware of the leaven (false teachings) of the Pharisees (religious leaders).
- Read spiritual books written by people who are higher than you in spirituality. By so doing, you learn more from them and gain from their experience. If you keep yourself busy reading books written by those who are lower than you, you may end up frustrating your spiritual growth.
- The more spiritual books you read, the better.
- However, read one author at a time, one after another.
- Do not neglect the end time messages and warnings from the throne of God, whether delivered by the Holy Spirit, Angel, reverend or your junior.
- Children and youths should be encouraged to read a lot of spiritual books, instead of wasting the precious time watching home videos, which are full of all kinds of evils.
Experience Is The Best Teacher
The main purpose of spiritual books is to help us to rise above our five senses, mind and intellect. This is because ordinary human logic and reasoning do not, and cannot, explain spiritual statements. Jesus meant the same when He said,
16 No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. 17 Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved. Matthew 9:16-17
If leaders who are worldly minded are allowed to teach spiritual things of life, they end up misinterpreting the whole teachings. And that is exactly what has been happening for so many years and centuries. For example, every religious group restrict themselves to their holy book and claim it as the best and final teachings about God and life, whereas the holy books are only introductions that invite humanity to investigate the vastness and riches of the Spirit. Only those who have spiritual knowledge and experience are fit to teach spiritual dimensions of life.
That is why humanity have not been able to understand so many teachings of Jesus Christ, after so many years and despite the numerous religious leaders we have in the world today. In spirituality, the guide, teacher or reverend must be well equipped by training, enlightenment and experience. The necessary experience is possible through spiritual encounters, visits to heaven and real-life spiritual events. Unfortunately, most of the religious leaders lack this essential experience, and end up misinterpreting the scriptures.
Jesus told the world to pray for more labourers, reverend ministers for the vineyard of God. You should not only pray as He has directed, but also pray for such ministers that are spiritually awake, enlightened and experienced, who are able to teach spirituality both in theory and in practical.
